Kendall G. Henry, Controller at Western Newspapers, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in accounting.
After coursework at the New England School of Accounting, Mr. Henry obtained a Bachelor of Science in accounting and business administration from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and later earned a master’s degree in music. He has excelled in money management as chief accountant with the Boyd Wrapper Company in Santa Ana, California, as a controller with North American Van Lines and Atlas Van Lines and as a controller and a certified public accountant with Western Newspapers, from which he retired in 1998.
Mr. Henry has also served his community as an organist, singer and choir director for more than 60 years with the Westborough Methodist Church, First Congregational Church in Worcester, Massachusetts, as well as a Scoutmaster. He considers his most notable achievement would be completing his bachelor’s degree in business administration and accounting as well as receiving the title of MM or a Master of Music. Initially desiring a career as an electrical engineer, he was advised to consider accounting by his father, also a CPA and Marquis Who’s Who listee.
