David M. Hager, Chief Executive Officer of the Business Risk Management Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in information security.
Mr. Hager is an information security professional with more than 50 years of expertise in enterprise security and risk management. Since 1998, he has excelled as the chief executive officer and owner of the Business Risk Management Group, a firm providing corporate clients with custom-build security solutions. Mr. Hager previously earned an Associate of Science in business from Marshall University and a Bachelor of Arts in security and scientific investigations from the State University of New York system.
Mr. Hager began his career as a criminal investigator and polygraph examiner for the United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations in 1973. He subsequently completed a Master of Science in scientific investigations at Air University in 1982. Mr. Hager remained with the United States Air Force until 1989, at which point he was commissioned to create an award-winning security program for the Government of Israel.
Between 1991 and 1996, Mr. Hager served as the vice president and general manager for Worldwide Security at the Rocky Flats Department of Energy site. In 1998, he accepted a position as the chief information security officer for Coors Brewing Company. Through the early 2000s, Mr. Hager held corporate leadership roles in network security for OppenheimerFunds, Covestic Unisys, and ArcSight, a division of HP.
Working for Mainline Information Systems as an enterprise security advisor in 2011, Mr. Hager was active as a senior manager and competency lead for privacy and compliance at Teradata from 2015 to 2021. He has accrued numerous industry certifications, and has contributed to publications including Security Management Magazine, Continuity Insights, and Network World, as well as curriculum for the University of Colorado and internal training documents for Mainline Information Systems. A member of the Information Systems Security Association and the American Association of Police Polygraphists, Mr. Hager was proudly recognized among Computer World Magazine’s 100 Premier IT Leaders.
