With audit, tax and consulting firm McGladrey, now part of RSM, she provided superior service as a director from 2012 to 2014 and as a senior manager from 2014 to 2019.
Beginning in 2019, Ms. Cetateanu has flourished as a director of the private equity performance improvement group with Alvarez and Marsal, a global professional services firm notable for its work in turnaround management and performance improvement of a number of large, high-profile businesses both in the United States and abroad. Her areas of expertise include fixing accounting and finance department of their clients, team assessments, creation of new processes, reviewing clients’ work, creating new financial reporting and enhancing the reporting matrix. Her memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and New York State Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Cetateanu attributes her success primarily to her humility and open-mindedness. Accepting that everyone is different both in their personal and professional lives, she was able to learn from nearly everyone. Her inspiration to enter her profession was the chief financial officer (CFO) of the big publishing firm where she had her internship. Being a female CFO during that time was very rare at the time and she was highly motivated to become like her. Through all of her projects, she has taken pride in efficiently managing projects, financial reporting and technical accounting. Ms. Cetateanu sees herself in a consulting role as a CFO for a private company in the coming years.
