Jordan Michael Ilyes, Developer at Ilyes Holdings LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in real estate development.
For two decades, Mr. Ilyes has excelled as a successful real estate developer specializing in residential and commercial property management in southeast Pennsylvania with Tailored Real Estate, LLC and Ilyes Holdings LLC. His chief interest lies in restoring and rehabilitating older buildings, with notable projects including the historic Keystone Color Works in York, a handsome three-story brick building that formerly hosted a paint and wallpaper colors manufacturer and was originally home to a railcar manufacturer, with the building completely revitalized with an industrial modern feel keeping and exposing its original character dating back to 1873.
In what he considers a career highlight, in 2019, Mr. Ilyes purchased and revitalized the Hotel Richard McAllister, constructed in Hanover in the 1920s and named after the town’s 18th century founder. Mr. Ilyes converted the building’s 70 rooms to market-rate rental apartments, with a coffee shop and restaurant. His redevelopment work has been featured in the Evening Sun newspaper, YRK Magazine and torkblog.com.
Mr. Ilyes attributes his success to his creativity and hard work. He became involved in his profession because he is passionate about drawing, working and design, creativity and pulling people together. His mother was also instrumental in pursuing a career path in building and development, and she encouraged him to start working for customers and meet builders who eventually helped him to advance in the industry. Impacting the community and touching more lives through his work and creativity is also what inspired him to be involved in projects that are beneficial for the community. In coming years, Mr. Ilyes hopes to continue his work in impacting and bettering the community. He also hopes to slow down in order for him to spend more time with his family particularly his children.
