After obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1999, Ms. Smith intended to become a television news broadcaster, but the untimely death of her father altered her career path and she found a position that fit her skill set and allowed her to excel very quickly at AT&T, the world’s largest telecommunications company and the largest provider of mobile telephone services in the United States. From 2002 to the present, Ms. Smith has excelled with AT&T as a force intraday administrator, responsible for monitoring workload and production, and as a senior records clerk.
Ms. Smith has volunteered with the Power of Change Christian Center. She has additionally acted as the media director for her local church. Throughout her career, she has maintained affiliation with Sigma Gamma Rho Incorporated.
According to Ms. Smith, her dedication to work is a major factor in her success, as well as her deep faith, and also believes that the giving spirit that she has towards her work has been a major contribution to the blessings in her life. She hopes to continue with AT&T until her retirement. Ms. Smith has put a great deal of time into the company and if all goes according to plan, she can still retire and enjoy life into her 50s and beyond.
