Since 2001, Mr. Nettemeyer has excelled as the president and chief executive officer of Valin Corporation, a leading distributor of automation, filtration, fluid handling, heating and process control products and systems for a wide range of high purity and industrial applications based in San Jose, California.
Mr. Nettemeyer initially obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Saint Louis University in 1973. He provided superior service as a district and regional sales manager with Emerson Power Transmission from 1979 to 1986 and the vice president of sales and marketing with the Harris Calorific division of Emerson Electric, a multinational manufacturer of Industrial products, from 1986 to 1992. Mr. Nettemeyer then prospered as the vice president of sales and marketing for the Chromalox division of Emerson Electric from 1992 to 2001.
As an executive with considerable involvement both in the industry and with charitable organizations, Mr. Nettemeyer has made an impact as the director of the Children’s Discovery Museum of San Jose from 2016 to 201 and a member of the advisory board of the Industrial Distribution Program with Texas A&M University since 2012. He was likewise appointed as the director and chairman of Partners in Sustainable Development International from 2007 to 2014 and the director of Family Links Parent Child Guidance Center from 1997 to 2001. In addition, Mr. Nettemeyer has served as the board chairman for the National Association of Wholesale Distributors, and as a member of the advisory council for UnleashWD, a program designed to promote innovation in the Wholesale Distribution Industry. He has further worked as a board chairman and aboard member of the NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence from 2008 to 2016. In what he considers a career highlight, Mr. Nettemeyer was recognized as the Businessman of the Year by the Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce in 2015.
In the immediate future, Mr. Nettemeyer aims to spearhead a successful transition to a younger management team who will continue to run the company as an employee-owned business. He also intends to teach strategy courses as an adjunct professor at Texas A&M University.
