From 2001 to 2006, Mr. Butler excelled as an apprentice electrician and from 2006 to the present as executive vice president and chief revenue officer with Skyline Electric Company, a premier electrical contractor based in West Valley City, Utah, specializing in commercial solar installation, 24-Hour electrical service, high voltage underground and overhead distribution installation and maintenance as well as motor repair and sales. To further his career, he obtained an Associate of Science from Ogden-Weber Applied Technology College in 2006 and later obtained a certification from the Volt Leadership Training Program in 2018.

Mr. Butler’s professional memberships include the National Electrical Contractors Association, National Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and Utah Electrical Training Alliance, which he avers provided him the opportunity to be in his managerial position today. He has additionally been honored with a 40 Under 40 listing in Utah Construction Design Magazine.

Mr. Butler’s most notable achievement is taking the leap of faith to move in from the practical, hands-on aspect of being an electrician to being in management. He had an opportunity to choose between doing what he loves to do which is being in the field, using his hands as an electrician or being involved in the management and growing the business and grabbing the opportunity to be able to contribute to the growth of Skyline Electric. Mr. Butler also cites his opportunity to be a missionary in French Polynesia where he taught about the Gospel as well as spread his technical knowledge. In the coming years, he intends to grow in his position, taking on new roles and responsibilities and giving people opportunities to succeed as well.
