Since 2006, Mr. Inman has excelled as a sales professional with Coldwell Banker McMahan, a premier real estate brokerage serving Kentucky and Southern Indiana. In addition, he works as the current president of Kentucky Realtors, a 12,800-member trade association providing education, member services and advocacy for members and for homeowners across the commonwealth.
From 1975 to 2000, Mr. Inman served his country with the U.S. Army in positions of increasing responsibility, culminating in command of the Army’s only Air Traffic Services Battalion in Europe, providing support to the United States European Command during a period of extremely challenging missions, including deployment to support peacekeeping operations in the former Yugoslavia, and as the senior staff officer responsible for planning, operations, force development, deployments and training for the largest logistical organization in Europe. He had earlier obtained a Bachelor of Arts in government, history and military science, Western Kentucky University.
During his deployment in the U.S. Army, Mr. Inman earned an Associate of Science in business management from Troy University in 1984, the Masters of Military Art and Science in national strategy from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and School of Advanced Military Studies in 1990 and 1991, and a Master of Science in Software Management in information systems from the University of Southern California in 1988.
Mr. Inman found success as a sales executive for CA Technologies and Computer Associates International from 2000 to 2004. He later prospered as the chief information officer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky from 2004 to 2006, managing over 650 employees providing information technology services to the state government. Mr. Inman was additionally active as an investment advisor representative and financial advisor with First Command Financial Planning from 2007 to 2008 and the president and senior consultant with Inman Strategies from 2006 to 2010, assisting companies desiring to grow their public sector business. In addition, he was appointed as the chairperson of Harrodsburg/Mercer County Tourism Commission from 2020 to 2021, during which time he directed the Tourism Board in managing a budget of $750,000 to promote tourism and commerce in Harrodsburg and Mercer County, Kentucky.
In the coming years, Mr. Inman aspires to become the best president of the Kentucky Realtors. His goal is to bring a strong advocacy program to promote professionalism within the industry while raising the standards for education.
