Since 2020, Ms. Gergley has provided superior service as chief executive of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County, which provides voluntary after-school activities for young people aged six to 18, including sports & recreation, education, arts, health & wellness, workforce readiness and leadership programs with the aim of helping them reach their best potential as caring, responsible and productive adults and citizens. Her responsibilities include leading the organization’s strategic direction and oversight of operations, finances, programming, human resources and public relations.

Ms. Gergley obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on marketing from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 1992. She prospered as a buyer for petite sportswear and dresses, Jacobson’s Stores, Inc. in Winter Park, Florida from 1992 to 1998 and sportswear for Colbert’s, Inc. in Irving, Texas from 1998 to 1999, as well as in jewelry, accessories and intimate apparel for Neiman Marcus Group in Irving from 1999 to 2002 and in career sportswear and contemporary for JC Penney in the Dallas/Fort Worth area from 2002 to 2008. For Chico’s FAS, Ms. Gergley provided superior service as a director, vice president and senior vice president of merchandising from 2009 to 2019.

Though she counts having been the vice president of merchandising of Chico’s FAS, Inc. as a capstone achievement, after nearly three decades of success in the corporate world, Ms. Gergley transitioned to nonprofit work, driven by the desire to positively impact the community. True to her goal of positively impacting her community, she envisions the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County growing into a $10 million organization serving at least 7,000 adolescents and children.
