Paul Hettich, Technical Director at Center Staged Productions, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military operations.
Col. Hettich served his country with three decades of inimitable service in the United States Army that included five combat deployments in Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo and the Horn of Africa between 2003 and 2014. He was also mobilized for Operation Enduring Freedom, formulated in response to the September 11 attacks, to command the 451st Expeditionary Sustainment Command (ESC) and has commanded at all levels, including as a special forces’ detachment commander.
Branch qualified in civil affairs, psychological operations, signal, transportation and medical services, Col. Hettich also boasts 19 additional skill identifiers and two PDI/PDSIs. His assignment just prior to his retirement included serving the 451st ESC in a brigadier general command at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. His military honors include the Legion of Merit Medal (2018); General Winfield Scott Bronze Medallion, three Meritorious Honor Awards from the U.S. Department of State, and two Bronze Star Medals for Meritorious Achievements in Combat Operations during Operational Iraqi Freedom.
Presently, Col. Hettich works part-time as a technical director for Center Stage Productions, as a deputy ranger police officer for Lake County Forest Preserve in Libertyville, Illinois, and as a court security police officer for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department in Waukegan, Illinois. He previously worked as a contract investigator for Next Level Investigations in Chantilly, Virginia, from 2018 to 2019.
Col. Hettich received a diploma and became a certified police officer through the North-Eastern Illinois Police Academy. He also obtained a Bachelor of Arts in communications arts and technical theater at Barat College of DePaul University, a Master of Arts in theater arts at Northern Illinois University and a master’s degree in strategic studies at the U.S. Army War College. Eminently qualified in his field, Col. Hettich holds a credential as a contract investigator, an Occupational Safety and Health Administration 511 certificate, a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Standards of Excellence in Emergency Management certificate and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
