Callia Baines, Recruitment Consultant at IREX, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in human resources management.
Since 2019, Ms. Baines has provided superior service with the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), an international, nonprofit organization specializing in global education and development, as a recruitment specialist and senior recruitment planner. In this role, she manages domestic and international recruitment and ensures effective sourcing, recruitment and onboarding employees.
Previously, Ms. Baines had found success with the University of Maryland University College in Adelphi, Maryland, now known as the University of Maryland Global Campus, from 2010 to 2013 as an academic advisor and outreach coordinator. She excelled from 2013 to 2016 as a human resources manager, director, generalist and consultant with Easter Seals, premier restaurant Woodberry Kitchen and international development and research firm CAMRIS and Melwood Horticultural Training Center. Ms. Baines made further impact from 2016 to 2017 with AIM Innovations, LLC as a recruitment specialist consultant, from 2017 to 2018 as a compensation analyst with Towne Park, a leading hospitality and healthcare parking solutions provider, and from 2018 to 2019 as a senior human resources generalist with Zero to Three, an organization working to ensure that babies and toddlers benefit from early connections critical to their well-being and development.
Following obtaining Bachelors of Arts in 2010 in communication and Spanish from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, Ms. Baines continued her education with a graduate certificate in 2012 and a Master of Science in management with concentration in human resources from the University of Maryland University College.
Ms. Baines attributes her success to her understanding that she needs to be a servant leader in order to understand the team and what the organization needs. She also attributes her success to being able to produce and create successful people through her expertise in the human resources field. In the coming years, In five years, Ms. Baines hopes to continue her work in recruitment and also hopes to be promoted to a vice president of recruitment position and continue to make a difference in the lives of many.
