Scottye Holloway, President at The Mendenhall Ministries, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in spiritual guidance.
Since 2017, Dr. Holloway has provided superior service as president of the Mendenhall Ministries in Mississippi, known for providing progressive and aggressive local leadership within the community to address problems of poor housing, segregated and unequal education and lack of employment opportunities within the Black community.
After initially obtaining a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies and master’s degree coursework in political science from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Dr. Holloway continued his education with a master’s degree in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary and subsequently a Doctor of Theology from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has provided spiritual counsel as an associate pastor of discipleship with Concord Church in Dallas and as pastor of local churches in Tampa, Florida, Minnesota and the Bethel Church of Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Dr. Holloway attributes his success to the grace of God. To him, God allowed him to go through experiences which he cherished and provided him everything that he needed in order to find success in life. Initially intending to become an attorney upon seeing a number of situations in which less fortunate and underprivileged people in the community were being taken advantage of by the legal systems and desiring ton become their advocate, he turned his attention to the ministry instead.
Rebuilding the Mendenhall Ministries as its president, and shaping the lives of its people, has been Dr. Holloway’s most notable accomplishment. What interests him the most about ministry is every day is different where he is able to face different challenges that the Lord entrusted him. In addition, survival in terms of ministry is a significant success and God has allowed him not only to survive but to thrive as well in order to impact the lives of people throughout the years. In the coming years, Dr. Holloway hopes for the ministry to remain strong and vital part of the community. He also hopes for the ministry to continue to provide stability and educational and employment opportunities to better the lives of the underprivileged and underrepresented in the community.
