Demetrius Booker, Associate Director at Church of God Ohio Ministries, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in ministerial administration.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in religion in 1995 from Azusa Pacific University, California, Mr. Booker continued his education with a Master of Arts in ministry in 1999 from the Southern California School of Ministry. He has provided superior stewardship as regional minister from 2002 to 2006 and church health minister from 2009 to 2016 from with the Church of God in Michigan. In addition, he has prospered as lead pastor with the Lighthouse Community Church of God in Reynoldsburg, Ohio from 2016 to the present. Besides his ministerial duties, Mr. Booker has also found much success as a multi-unit manager from 1994 to 1999 with Wendy’s International and a Market Leader from 1999 to 2002 with Falcon Holdings LLC.
Rev. Booker attributes his success to his faith in God. He also attributes it to his mother for always telling him that he will be better than those that came before him. As his most notable achievement, he cites standing up to a developer who wanted to build a $30 million gated community on property adjacent to this parish, desiring to acquire Mr. Booker’s congregation’s property as well. There several court cases that Mr. Booker and his parish eventually won.
