Since 2020, Mr. Rogers has provided superior service as president and chief executive officer with Methodist Health Shared Service Systems, a premier organization offering distribution services for medical and surgical supplies across the states of Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri and Kansas from the main distribution center in Omaha, Nebraska, as well as a second distribution center in Lincoln, Nebraska, stocking more than 10,000 items from more than 1000 manufacturers. In addition to distributing medical supplies, the firm specializes in supplying housekeeping and cleaning products, office supplies and clinic convenience items. In 2019, he had become the firm’s chief operating officer.
After initial coursework in criminal justice at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 1990, Mr. Rogers later obtained an Associate of Arts in business management in 2013 from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha and continued his education with a Bachelor of Arts in business administration, management and operations in 2016 from Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska.
Mr. Rogers excelled as a production supervisor with multinational power management company Eaton Corporation from 1992 to 2002 and subsequently as an investigator with the United States Investigation Service from 2002 to 2007, during which he conducted background investigations on behalf of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management for the purpose of employment suitability and security clearance determinations. Mr. Rogers then found much success as a manager from 2007 to 2017 with Valmont Industries, a manufacturer of irrigation equipment, windmill support structures and utility poles, and then as director of operations with Lester Electrical in Lincoln from 2017 to 2019.
Mr. Rogers maintains that his career highlight was restructuring a company in which he helped save about $800,000 on labor and overtime expenses. He is hoping to work toward the continued growth and success of Shared Service Systems in the coming years.
