Growing up, Mr. Eden fondly recalls playing with Legos. As he grew older, he knew he wanted to utilize his passion for creating and do something with his hands. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in construction engineering technology from the University of Toledo in 2003, opening the door to his professional endeavors in construction. Mr. Eden joined the Sletten Construction Company that same year as a project engineer, excelling in the role until 2016 when he was promoted to vice president and corrections division manager.
In his present role, Mr. Eden leads the corrections division, which includes procuring projects, traveling to construction sites to check on their progress and attending training seminars and corrections-related events throughout the year. The division is responsible for building jails, prisons, mental health facilities and courthouses. Mr. Eden attributes his professional success to hard work, dedication and self-motivation. He also credits various mentors who gave him the opportunity to learn and grow in time. In the next five years, Mr. Eden aims to continue growing his division and possibly bring their services overseas, as well as gradually move up in the corporate ladder.
