Backed by more than 30 years of experience in the field of property management, Mr. Fong excelled as the manager and general partner of Fong and Associates, LLC, his family commercial real estate business, in Las Vegas from 1993 to 2020. Prior, he had been an assistant vice president and trust real estate officer for the Bank of America Corporation from 1982 to 1993. He also lent his knowledge to roles as an adjunct instructor in finance and real estate at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the College of Southern Nevada between 1988 and 1990. He had also been a retail department manager at Sears, Roebuck & Company from 1978 to 1980. At the start of his professional journey, Mr. Fong earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and management, with high distinction, from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1978 and a Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University in 1982.
Active in his civic endeavors also, Mr. Fong has served as president of the Las Vegas chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management and the Las Vegas West Rotary Club. Notably, his accomplishments in his career include receiving a District Governor’s Award from the Rotary District Governor in 2001, as well as being recognized as the Certified Property Manager of the Year by the Las Vegas chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management in 2002, and the Business Person of the Year by the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce in 2001. Mr. Fong attributes his success to his Christian faith and using his experiences to help others. He has enjoyed the challenges and rewards of being in the property management field and hopes to continue working part-time while also spending more time relaxing with his family.
