Dr. Chastity R. Murray, Lead Practitioner at Murray’s Consultation Services, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the behavioral sciences.
Dr. Murray attended St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York from 2002 to 2006, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She continued her education at the same university to earn a Master of Science in mental health counseling in 2008. She subsequently secured a master’s degree in school psychology from Roberts Wesleyan College in 2013 and a doctorate in executive leadership from St. John Fisher College in 2017. She is a nationally certified school psychologist and a member of the National Association of School Psychologists. A practicing psychiatrist, she is also a licensed mental health counselor in the state of New York.
From 2008 to 2014, Dr. Murray was an alcohol and substance abuse therapist at the Catholic Family Center. She also treated patients as a school psychologist and a behavior specialist before teaching others as an adjunct professor for the State University of New York at Geneseo. She is active as a board member for several groups, including the Greater Rochester Area School Psychologists and the St. John Fisher College Alumni Board of Directors.
Dr. Murray attributes her success to her dedication to lifelong learning and to taking advantage of opportunities. Her proudest career accomplishment is her work in the field of district behavior and the new paths that she has created in that field through designing her own role and defining this way to study human behavior. She plans to expand her private practice in the coming years and help raise awareness of mental health needs in communities where people of color are the majority.
