With 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Fisher has excelled as the publisher of The Raymore Journal since 2022 as well as a staff writer and research associate for Land Line Magazine since 2015. He previously worked as a freelance journalist for The Raymore Journal from 2019 to 2022, a news clerk for Land Line Magazine from 2014 to 2015, an on-air personality for Kansas City Comedy with OurCityRadio from 2013 to 2014, an event analyst for Bank of America from 2012 to 2014, and a board operator and producer for Entercom from 2011 to 2014. Moreover, he served as a records specialist for Iron Mountain from 2004 to 2012, a production intern for Entercom in 2011, a reporter intern for Preps KC from 2010 to 2011, a promotions intern for Entercom in 2010, and the host, producer and founder of Soundtrack of the Week between 2009 and 2013. Mr. Fisher began his career as a teller with The Mission Bank from 2002 to 2004.
Mr. Fisher initially pursued an education at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications and journalism in 2011. In addition to his primary endeavors, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise, including the Society of Professional Journalists, the Missouri Press Association and the Raymore Chamber of Commerce. Attributing his success to the support structure of his family and friends as well as his humble background, he hopes to proudly usher in a new generation of journalism with The Raymore Journal by expanding its digital footprint and engaging more deeply with his community. Looking toward the future, Mr. Fisher plans on cementing The Raymore Journal as one of the leading news sources in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area.
