Following coursework in real estate at Broward College in Florida in 1993, Ms. Upshaw later followed with coursework in paralegal studies at Liberty University in 2017 and returned to Broward and earned an Associate of Science in business administration and management in 2022.
Ms. Upshaw joined JPMorgan Chase in 1998 and has excelled in many roles for more than two decades in its offices in in Deerfield Beach, Florida. She provided superior service as a collections representative and customer service representative from 1998 to 2002; as a real estate owned (REO) specialist from 2002 to 2004; REO and claims specialist from 2004 to 2007; and senior REO closer and quality control from 2007 to 2016. From 2018 to the present, Ms. Upshaw has flourished as an associate banker for Chase in its offices at Tamarac, Florida. For her expertise in a variety of roles with Chase, she was recognized with a Chase Five Keys Award exemplifying attributes of an exemplary customer experience.
Ms. Upshaw attributes her success to her faith and a desire to achieve her goals. She also desires to set a good example for her daughters. She became involved in banking when she took a temporary position in the collections department of JPMorgan. Ms. Upshaw handled 45 incoming calls on her first day and correctly answered every type of question that was asked of her, despite her inexperience. This led to an offer of a permanent position, and she’s been with the company ever since that day.
Ms. Upshaw maintains that her career highlight gaining a vast amount of knowledge of the mortgage process, along with retail banking. In the coming years, she plans to continue working in the financial industry. She enjoys her work and hopes to continue inspiring others.
