Tololupe Oyebode, Project Management Specialist at Octo Consulting Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in intelligence security.
Originally hailing from Nigeria, Mr. Oyebode has excelled a decade as a systems engineer with the Department of Defense, parlaying proven analytical and communication skills, ability to juggle multiple projects, management and organizational leadership skills. After obtaining an Associate of Applied Science from Broward College in Florida, he obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in mechanical engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2009 and later continued his education with a postgraduate certificate in principles of acquisition and program management in 2021 from Naval Postgraduate School, a public graduate school operated by the United States Navy and located in Monterey, California. Currently he is pursuing a certificate in model-based systems engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Mr. Oyebode’s certifications include a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt from the Advanced Innovation Group Pro Excellence; as a Project Management Professional; and Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act III, Systems, Planning, Research, Development and Engineering and CON 127 Contract Management from Defense Acquisition University, a corporate university of the United States Department of Defense offering acquisition, technology, and logistics training to military and Federal civilian staff and Federal contractors.
From 2009 to 2015, Mr. Oyebode found much success as a mechanical engineer with the United States Army Research, Development and Engineering Command and assistant engineer with the U.S. Department of Defense. He then excelled as an integration engineer and program executive officer of land systems from 2015 to 2019 and lead engineer from 2019 to 2022 with the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command. Since 2022, he has flourished as project management specialist with Octo Consulting Group, a premier consulting firm in Reston, Virginia that delivers technology vital to the intelligence community and health care, defense, national security, and civilian agencies that directly impact the U.S. In addition, Mr. Oyebode served as a chemical operations specialist with the U.S. Army from 2000 to 2004.
Mr. Oyebode attributes his success to having good mentors as well as his dedication and success-driven mindset. As a career highlight, he cites his involvement in building a power generator for the rapid equipment for the United States Army after he graduated from college. Additionally, he is also proud of his involvement in Okinawa, Japan where he was able to create a side mirror for medium practical vehicles. Due to the design of the vehicle, it was difficult for the drivers to see the blind spot. Thus, the side mirror that he and his team created provided more visibility to the driver, which removed the blind spot. In the coming years, Mr. Oyebode hopes to complete a Master of Business Administration degree and work for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in Belgium.
