Through the recommendation of a friend, he was employed as an account manager at Rexel USA Inc. in 2012. The job offer was something that he could not refuse, as the offered employment benefits were favorable and thus he moved to the United States when he accepted the job offer. Additionally, he believes that he would like to finish his career in the U.S. and did not intend to pursue any more opportunities in Puerto Rico because he thought it was a good time for a change. He also believes that he can be successful so long as he is determined to achieve his goals.
Mr. Rodriguez considers his involvement in a $6 million wastewater project in Puerto Rico to be his career highlight. His group was able to introduce a brand-new technology in Puerto Rico to aid in the project. In the coming years, he hopes to help grow his market to levels that they were unable to attain before as a company. He also hopes to take advantage of the different opportunities for growth in the industry in terms of career advancement and skills improvement.
