For over a decade, Mr. Mehring has excelled as a professional offering diverse and innovative solutions in numerous project types from initial collaborations to construction phase and a progressive designer combining technology, fabrication, physical prototypes and mixed media. His area of expertise is commercial architectural design, concept schematic design and design development. In this role, he focuses on initial concepts and designs and sees them through to completion, is in charge of documents and securing permits, deals with construction administration, oversees and works closely with contractors to solve issues in the field and handles client relationship management.
Since 2012, Mr. Mehring has provided superior service with Somewhere Something in Glassell Park, California, where he led and supported design on the renovation of the Keystone Artist Community, Willardson Residence and KISS Storage, and also contributed renderings, construction documents, 3D modeling and physical prototypes for several ongoing projects throughout the Los Angeles area. To augment his skills, he earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the School of Architecture at Woodbury University in Burbank, California in 2015 and since that year he has prospered as a senior designer with Wolcott Architecture in Los Angeles. Mr. Mehring sees working with several great mentors as an important highlight of his career, but he feels that his greatest contribution has been sharing the knowledge he receives from them with his peers. In the coming years, he intends to build his own team at Wolcott Architecture, where he plans to spend the rest of his career.
