Dieter Lantin, President at United Interiors International, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in airplane furnishings.
Originally hailing from Poland, Mr. Lantin obtained a bachelor’s degree in economics from Loyola College in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1979. With Air Canada, he excelled as director of in-flight service from 1978 to 1984, manager of the resource management group from 1984 to 1986 and director of customer environment, in which he was responsible for all facets of customer interactions with the company on board, at check-in and in lounges, including all interior environments, from 1986 to 1989. Mr. Lantin then provided superior service as general manager of Lantal Textiles from 1989 to 1994.
Since 1994 Mr. Lantin has prospered as president and chief executive officer of United Interiors International, a premier supplier of interior furnishings for the aviation industry in Russia and former states of the Soviet Union. United Interiors International implements design solutions for aircraft interiors that include fabrics, carpets, decorative laminates, seat cushions, video security, electrical components and composite panels. The firm also handles design and branding, certification and after-sales services.
As a career highlight, Mr. Lantin cites creating true business class service with Air Canada. While he was the manager responsible for customer products at Air Canada, he also developed and implemented the first true business-class worldwide. Because of that, he also made Air Canada the first airline to offer a proper and separate cabin with all aspects of business class.
