Jeronimo Canton, Co-owner at Narbona Natural Food, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in restaurant and supermarket management.
Hailing from Argentina, Mr. Canton obtained a degree in business administration before joining his family firm, Narbona Natural Food, a combination market and restaurant that features a bakery and a butcher shop and serves fresh pasta and an inventory of craft beer, wine, coffee, gourmet cheese and other gourmet foods produced in South America. Mr. Canton excelled as general manager of the Narbona branch in Punta del Este, the famed international resort city on the Atlantic coast, before assisting in the opening of the newest branch in Key Biscayne, Florida. He takes pride in continuing a family tradition, as Narbona was established in Uruguay in the first decade of the 20th century.
In the immediate future, Mr. Canton will be assisting Narbona in opening four new locations and in the coming years intends to expand to San Francisco and New York, featuring a mix of traditional Uruguayan dishes, familiar dishes like waffles, French toast, granola and their homemade yogurt and entrees such as salmon and tuna tartare. Narbona also doubles as a marketplace, distributing the company’s brand of wines, cheeses, coffee and cold cuts, and Mr. Canton desires Narbona to be a competitor in the United States food market picture.
