Charles E. Smith, PhD, Chief Executive Officer at Kairos Productions LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in executive coaching.
Dr. Smith is a highly experienced senior executive coach, futurist and author. During a professional journey that exceeds 50 years, he has thrived in his roles as a personal and leadership coach and organizational behavior consultant, inspiring individuals to discover and reach their full potential. Counting ambitious entrepreneurs and heads of large organizations among his clients, Dr. Smith stimulates breakthrough thinking, culture change and seemingly impossible results.
Prior to becoming the chief executive officer of Kairos Productions LLC in 1995, Dr. Smith was the owner, managing director, executive coach and programs designer with Charles Smith & Associates from 1979 to 1995. He has served as a visiting associate professor of organizational behavior at the former Sir George Williams University in Montreal, which is now part of Concordia University. Additionally, he is a past president of the Harvard-Radcliffe Club of New Mexico and former editor of Transformation Magazine.
Dr. Smith earned his doctorate in organizational behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in 1970. He previously received a certificate in the Gestalt Methods from The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland in 1970. Earlier, he obtained a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Business School at Harvard University in 1961, as well as an undergraduate degree in social relations from Harvard University in 1957. Before attending college, he received a diploma in Latin, German, French, English, and history from the Boston Latin School in 1953.
A prolific writer, Dr. Smith is the author of four acclaimed publications: “The Merlin Factor: Keys to the Corporate Kingdom,” “Don’t Be A Noodle in Someone Else’s Soup,” “Navigating from the Future: A Primer for Sustainable Transformation” and “Transformational Practices, Radical Results.” He has also crafted numerous articles that have been featured in Eruditio: Journal of the World Academy of Art & Science and the Library of Professional Psychology, as well as “The Merlin Factor: Leadership and Strategic Intent” in the London Strategy Review.
Dr. Smith’s current interests include the future of democracy at all levels of society, the nature of collaborative innovation, conscious conversations, and participating in podcasts that engage large numbers of kindred spirits and businesses. He consults with individuals across the United States and around the world, discussing such important topics as the nature of transformation and how business and government need to change the way they operate. Dr. Smith believe his experience at The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland enabled him to make sense of his own life experience and gave him freedom to think outside of the limitations of many other individuals.
