Having cultivated a career of excellence operating in a variety of vocations, Mr. Reed has most recently found success as an associate pastor at Vision Church in Sultan, Washington. Recognized as a credentialed pastor by the Assembly of God Church, he specializes in bible teachings and teaching students to develop their skills. Prior to his current role, he operated as a peer counselor at Recovery Coach Academy, a harm reduction specialist with Peace for the Streets by Kids from the Streets and with Cocoon House, and as a research assistant with the National Institute on Drug Abuse. In addition, Mr. Reed also previously served as a union painter and as the owner of Clark County Painting in the 1980s.
As part of his vocational journey, Mr. Reed pursued a formal education, earning an associate’s degree at Walla Walla Community College in 1994 and a Bachelor of Science in psychology at the University of Washington in 1997. Adjacent to his primary duties, he is also well regarded for his dedication to civic advocacy, participating in his community as a Bible school teacher and with the Everett Dream Center. As part of his commitment in the field, he also remains affiliated with several industry-related organizations, including the Assembly of God Church and Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology. Mr. Reed attributes much of his success to his resilience and faith, and he is notably proud to have earned his bachelor’s degree. In the coming years, he hopes to begin a discipleship program to assist individuals recovering from addiction.
