With more than 45 years of professional experience, Mr. Dixon is a respected and accomplished leader in the oil and gas industry. He has excelled as a lead service mechanic with Wood Group since 2011. Previously, he thrived as a service mechanic senior technician with Exterran/Archrock Services LP from 2011 to 2019 and as a compressor and engine mechanic technician with Blue Stream Service between 2006 and 2011. He also worked as a parts manager with Auto Zone from 1999 until 2005, as a certified field service technician with Waukesha Pearce Industries Incorporated from 1995 to 1999 and as an overseas Africa mechanic for Falcom Drilling from 1990 until 1993.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Dixon was a mechanic technician with Power Rig, LLC between 1986 and 1990 and a maintenance supervisor at Marlin Drilling Co. from 1980 to 1986. He began working in his field with a position at National Armco/National Oilwell from 1977 until 1980.
Mr. Dixon holds a number of credentials related to his work, including certifications in GL Engines and VHP from Waukesha Engine Division, Gas Engine Technology from the United Latino Students Association, EMD Engines, Murphy Panels and Controls, incipient fire training, and crane operation.
In preparation of launching his career, Mr. Dixon completed coursework in superior engine training at Louisiana State University. He earned a diploma from New Iberia Senior High School in 1977. A proponent of community service, he has been a volunteer with Iberia Drug Court since 2007.
