With nearly 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Sorensen has excelled with Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits LLC as a senior vice president since 2021 and a general manager since 2019. He previously served with the aforementioned company in a number of capacities, including as a sales brand manager from 2010 to 2012, the general sales manager for off-premise spirits from 2012 to 2014, the vice president of spirits from 2014 to 2018, the vice president of sales from 2018 to 2019 and the vice president from 2019 to 2021. Prior to these appointments, Mr. Sorensen began his career as the spirits brand manager for Wirtz Beverage Minnesota from 2003 to 2010.
Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Sorensen pursued an education at Bismarck State College in North Dakota, at which he completed undergraduate coursework. Attributing his success to his aggressive urgency within his management roles, he is incredibly proud to have executed the ground-up building of Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits LLC in Minnesota, where he drove share growth in addition to North Dakota and South Dakota. Looking toward the future, Mr. Sorensen hopes to eventually retire after adding more states to his business and dedicating additional time to consulting work.
