He subsequently obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from Texas Southern University in 1979, a Master of Theology from Almeda University in 2003 and a Doctor of Philosophy in divinity from Suffield University in 2004. Since 2022, he has been pursuing a second Doctor of Philosophy from Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia. Having proudly received recognition from such prominent Texas politicians as Sheila Jackson Lee, Sylvester Turner and Rick Perry, Rev. Yancey hopes to continue thriving in his respective fields while overcoming any obstacle that he may face.
