With years of experience to her credit, Ms. Sheetz has excelled as the director of the Benton Community Food & Service Co-Op in Oxford, Indiana since 2015. In addition to this appointment, she served as a community service representative with the Community Action Program Inc. of Western Indiana since 2021. Likewise, she has been active with the Salvation Army’s Energy Assistance Services since 2021. Beyond her primary professional responsibilities, Ms. Sheetz has contributed to the Benton County Salvation Army, the Oxford Lions Club, Hope Springs Safe House, the Men’s Community Foundation, Healthy Families Indiana and her local church.
In light of her exceptional undertakings, Ms. Sheetz was presented with the Woman of Distinction Award in 2018. Hailing from a large family that owns a 700-acre farm, she attributes her success to her upbringing, which helped instill within her an impressive work ethic and sense of compassion. Among the many highlights of her career, she is incredibly proud of establishing the Benton Community Food & Service Co-Op, as she was able to address and respond to the needs of her community. Looking toward the future, Ms. Sheetz hopes to transform the aforementioned organization into a self-sufficient non-profit as she prepares for her well-deserved retirement.
