John R. Myers, Director of the Sierra Nevada Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in electronics, aerospace and national security.
Since 2005, Mr. Myers has excelled as the director of the Sierra Nevada Corporation. He is an expert in the development, integration, production and deployment of electronic system, primarily for military applications. At the Sierra Nevada Corporation, he manages projects, fulfills financial responsibilities and handles team building needs. Prior to this position, Mr. Myers worked as a part-time consultant and was a program manager for BAE Systems from 1979 to 2005.
Mr. Myers prepared for his career at the University of Phoenix, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in management in 2000. From 1974 to 1981, he served in the U.S. Navy, where he completed basic and advanced training in electronics. He is a six-time recipient of the Star Award for Outstanding Performance in Programming from the Sierra Nevada Corporation, which also recognized him with a Certificate of Recognition and Cash Award for Contribution to the Production and Delivery of 3,900 Baldr Systems in 2012. Among his career accomplishments, Mr. Myers and his team at BAE Systems were the first to successfully produce new precision lighting systems for deployment and installation in an aircraft carrier, earning them several awards. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and riding his bicycle.
