Juanita Griggs Britton, Chief Executive Officer at Rembert Area Community Coalition, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nonprofit administration.
With more than 50 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Britton has excelled as the founder and chief executive officer for the Rembert Area Community Coalition, a nonprofit organization focused on revitalizing and providing resources to the Rembert community, since 2001. She has been additionally active as the owner of Lilfred’s Restaurant, a position in which she has been acknowledged as one of the only black owners of the oldest and most renowned 5-star restaurant in Rembert. She formerly served as a postmaster with the U.S. Postal Service between 1971 and 2005. Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Britton has further contributed to her community as the founder of the after school program at the Rembert Youth Center since 1999.
To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Britton pursued an education at Colorado Technical University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2008 before graduating with a Master of Business Administration in finance and financial management services in 2009. She was subsequently presented with an honorary doctorate from Agape Baptist College in 2010. Attributing her success to her faith in God and her refusal to give up, Ms. Britton is incredibly proud to dedicate her time and services to those in underprivileged communities. Looking toward the future, Ms. Britton hopes for the Rembert Area Community Coalition to become incorporated.
