Frank LaBarbera, Sales Representative at J. Twiggs Oil Company, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in lube and gas sales.

Mr. LaBarbera retired in 2011, having dedicated more than three decades to sales in the oil industry. Going back even further, Mr. LaBarbera’s earliest job was working as a display man for Sears, Roebuck & Company in 1964. He held this role until 1969, where he then took on the role of display manager for Montgomery Ward & Company. From 1975 to 1978, he was tasked as an interior designer and sales representative for Badcock Furniture. Following this, he was a fleet & leasing salesman for Lakeland Ford Company from 1978 to 1981. In 1981, he entered the oil industry, first working at Neumann Oil Company, then at Ward Oil Company, and finally, at J. Twiggs Oil Company from 2005 to 2011.

Mr. LaBarbera had always been interested in the business side of things, first earning an Associate of Arts in advertising in art from St. Leo College in 1962. He continued at the institution, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in advertising and art in 1964. Furthermore, he continued his studies at the University of Florida for a time. Throughout his career, he has penned articles and published works for the Florida Jaycees Magazine and the Elks Club. He has remained active in his community as a volunteer and board member of the Strawberry Festival Parade. Furthermore, in 1965 he founded the Plant City Christmas Parade, an event he still is actively involved in.

In recognition of this work and the dedicated years he spent in the oil and gas industries. Mr. LaBarbera has earned such awards as the Salesman of the Year from the Neumann Oil Company, as well as recognition as the Outstanding Jaycee of the Year with Plant City Jaycees in 1967 and 1969. From 1985 to 1987, he served as the exalted ruler of the Plant City Elks Club and has also been the External Vice President of the Florida Jaycees, third vice president of the Lions Club and President of Plant City Jaycees. He is the five-time past president of the Plant City Elks Club and has also devoted time to the Italian-American Club, the Seminole Gun Club, the Sertoma Club and the Knights of Columbus.
