David W. Allen, Owner at GreenBird LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in entrepreneurship.
The renowned owner of GreenBird LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Allen is recognized for his design of biodegradable paperboard birdhouses, as well as other green products for wild birds. As the sole employee of GreenBird, he has completed all aspects of accounting, advertising, order-taking and fulfillment efforts. In light of his success in environmental conservation, he received the Best of Cincinnati Award for Business and Efforts to Impact the Environment in 2019.
In 1971, Mr. Allen earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration, with a minor in advertising, from the Columbus College of Art and Design. Soon obtaining executive-level positions in artistic endeavors at such companies as Weir McBride Advertising, Applied Communications and McNally Communications, he was also the owner of Allen & Associates in Waynesville, Ohio, between 1989 and 1998. Most recently, he was vice president and creative director of Jaap-Orr Company between 1998 and 2012.
A frequent volunteer for Voice of Hope and the American Cancer Society, Mr. Allen is a past president of his local Rotary Club, Jaycees and Chambers of Commerce. Noting that spearheading GreenBird has been his most proud accomplishment, he hopes to continue business with GreenBird in five years’ time, as well as partake in various freelance design work. He attributes his success to his enjoyment of his work – he has never had a job he disliked.
