Alongside his roles at KDA Communications, Mr. Amparado has also served as a consultant for the New York University Financial Systems, as assistant director of New York University and as president of the board of governors of the State University of New York Empire State College Alumni Student Federation, a role from which he departed in 2019.
Prior to founding KDA Communications, Mr. Amparado was a senior technical editor for Hanover Trust Co., a programmer analyst for the European American Bank and a systems analyst for Morgan Guaranty Trust Co., among other roles. Involved civically in his local community as well, he has been a consultant for the Siloam Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn since 1988. For over 20 years, Mr. Amparado has served as a group facilitator for the Alzheimer Care Givers Group, which meets at New York University’s Washington Square Campus.
Among the notable highlights of his career, Mr. Amparado is proudest of establishing a scholarship at the State University of New York Empire State College in his parents’ name, which has been running since 2000. Additionally, he has maintained involvement with the Alzheimer’s Association in New York, with whom he has taken classes and seminars. After his parents passed away, Mr. Amparado established the Alzheimer’s Support Group for Caregivers through New York University. In this venture, he has volunteered for speaking engagements, created presentations and conducted training sessions for Caring Kind and its predecessor, the Alzheimer’s Association. Notably, Mr. Amparado has been featured in several Who’s Who publications, such as Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the Media and Communication and Who’s Who in the World.
