Noel Chase Jordan, President and Chief Executive Officer at Naples Marina Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in manufacturing.
Inspired to pursue his collegiate studies from his love for boats and water activities, Mr. Jordan received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in industrial engineering from North Dakota State University by 1971. Subsequently, he went on to achieve a Master of Business Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Upon spearheading his professional career, Mr. Jordan became a well-respected professor at the North Dakota State University, achieving tenure after his first year of teaching. Distinguished for his leadership, he was the recipient of two North Dakota State University Service Awards.
Preparing to commence work for IBM, the Trane Air Conditioning Company Worldwide presented an offer to him to join their team. Mr. Jordan began as the chief industrial engineer and moved to the financial manufacturing division with 11 United States plants under him. From there, he became the national sales manager and held a number of other positions. During this time, the company expedited its plans to build a new manufacturing plant when he became the sales manager. Finding great success in his roles, General Electric (GE) contacted Mr. Jordan to see if they were interested in buying GE’s air conditioning division. They bought the division and merged it with their air conditioning division, leading Mr. Jordan to become the sales manager and operations manager of the international division and then merged with the company in Japan.
Moving on in his career trajectory, Mr. Jordan joined the boating industry and served as chief executive officer of SkipperLiner Manufacturing, which has built 1,500 boats for Disney Saipan and United Arab Emirates and 256 boats for Lake Powell, Arizona. Likewise, he managed the construction of the largest boat at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, which he calls the highlight of his career. Notably, Mr. Jordan’s boats became the number one leader in the world for 45 to 150 passenger commercial boats, as well as for dinner boat businesses and received multiple awards. Additionally, he was chief executive officer and president of the Naples Marine Group from 1995 to 2018 and was a rear admiral of Societe Internationale De Geneve from 2012 to 2020. He also held executive roles with the American Marine, Sea Ray Dealer and several marinas.
A proud citizen, Mr. Jordan served with the U.S. Army in Fort Ord, California. He is the author of, “New Product Release” from 1971 and is a former sports editor for NDSU Spectrum. Highly regarded for his legacy, he was named to Naples Profile of Distinction and is an inductee of the Wall of Fame and Margin of Excellence Boy’s Club. Mr. Jordan attributes his grand career success to his great team and the hard work they put in each day. He also thanks his lifelong mentors, Chuck Mathy, Robert Heller, Darlene Kerska, and Dr. Amanda Ferguson for their motivation and influence. A member of BBCC, among his civic duties, he also served as president of the Boy’s Club, as president of Lacrosse Area Economic Development Authority and as a Sunday school teacher at Congregational Church. In five years’ time, Mr. Jordan hopes to sit on the board of directors for one of two distinguished companies.
