Joe Faires, Retired Concert Promoter at JF Productions, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership.
Mr. Faires believes that his involvement in law enforcement was a case of divine intervention. Following his high school graduation, he was recruited by a local police officer to pursue a career with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Mr. Faires filled out the application and was consequentially hired as a fingerprint technician in 1950, remaining there for one year. In 1951, Mr. Faires took a leave from the FBI to pursue a career with the United States Air Force. He excelled for four years with the military. Upon his retirement from service, he returned to his career as a fingerprint technician with the FBI. In 1957, Mr. Faires was promoted to a special agent. He remained in that role until 1979 when he attained the title of a supervisory special agent. By 1986, he ultimately decided to retire from the FBI and pursue a career as a concert promoter with JF Productions. Mr. Faires demonstrated consistent success until he retired from all professional ventures in 2005.
Mr. Faires feels lucky to have had three exciting careers. He cherishes the time he spent as an air traffic controller, FBI agent, and concert promoter. Through his work, he was able to meet all sorts of unique individuals, which kept his work in each field exciting. However, the excitement of solving a case with the FBI was inimitable. As a testament to his success, he received multiple letters of commendation from the director of the FBI. Mr. Faires maintains affiliation with the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. In regards to his career as a concert promoter, he considers the highlight to be his time working with Garth Brooks, who has since become a close friend.
In his spare time, Mr. Faires enjoys playing sports, especially golf and tennis. He additionally likes to go fishing and bowling. A member of the Country Music Association, he cherishes the time he is able to spend with his family. Mr. Faires has two children and one grandchild, all of whom are very special to him. Reflecting on his professional success, he credits his educational background, which includes an LLB from Blackstone College and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Southeastern University.
