Since 2000, Ms. Kosta di Nova has excelled with Transcon Trading Company Inc., an export management company whose mission is to help United States-based manufacturers open international markets via exporting as well as international customers import and build brand awareness and distribution network for unique, innovative, technologically advanced products produced in the United States. She has prospered with the aforementioned company as executive vice president since 2004, as owner since 2006, and as president, chief executive officer and board chairman since 2020.

Immigrating to the United States from Bulgaria in 1992, Ms. Kosta di Nova obtained a master’s degree in international business from the Darla Moore School of Business at University of South Carolina in 1998, earning the prestigious Allen Dickerman Award for top academic achievement. Earlier, she had been enrolled in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program in the political science department at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, as a Fulbright scholar.

Ms. Kosta di Nova’s professional experience includes a number of positions within the area of international business that include the director of economic analysis and international business relations for regional government offices, the marketing and sales manager for a state foreign trade office, the director of European distribution for Carolina International USA and the special projects manager for the Solvay Group in Europe.

For 14 years, Ms. Kosta di Nova has provided superior education as an adjunct professor at the renowned Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, teaching two IBUS “Exporting and Importing” classes a week. In 2019, she was an invited speaker at the Global Pet Forum in Shanghai, China, where she addressed the globalization of the pet industry and provided advice for active world leaders in the industry.

Ms. Kosta Di Nova attributes her success to her determination, passion and love for her work. She became involved in her profession because she was always interested in international trade and business, having grown up in Eastern Europe in a Communist environment where there were restrictions and education was very limited, which influenced her decision to immigrate to the United States.

Providing opportunities for her staff as well as their families and her contribution to the psychological well-being of many people by bringing them exclusive, innovative and technologically advanced products is what Ms. Kosta Di Nova considers to be a notable accomplishment, as well as being a professor in the Undergraduate International Business Program at the University of South Carolina. In coming years, she hopes to entrust her responsibilities to her successors whom she’s currently mentoring in order to give to way to prioritizing her personal life and voluntary and charity work in the community.
