Sergil Adams, Founder of New Old School Productions, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in acting and film production.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting in 2007 from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania, Mr. Adams joined The Actor’s Project New York City, an organization that assists actors in finding agents and managers in film, television and theater, and appeared in plays such as “The Exonerated,” “The Servant of Two Masters” and “Fur.” Thenceforth, Mr. Adams began to write his own projects and in 2020 formed the production company New Old School Productions, writing and filming “Time” and “The Golden Apple.” Throughout, he has served his city as a firefighter over the past seven years.
Mr. Adams attributes his success to his work ethic, discipline, and belief in himself and his projects. As a career highlight, he cites writing and producing his first film titled “Roy,” which is currently in post-production. The film is based on a character he played in a previous film called “Time Redux,” and it recently won Best Drama Short at the Global Film Festival in Los Angeles. With 20 years of experience to his name, he has myriad stage and short independent film credits as an actor, and he aims to continue bringing original stories to the Philadelphia area in the future.
In the coming years, Mr. Adams hopes to be acting full-time and be financially comfortable in that profession. He also hopes to grow and prosper with New Old School Productions. In the coming years, he hopes to remain a presence in the Philadelphia filmmaking scene and establish a studio of his own while utilizing new technologies and refining his skills as an actor and storyteller with a passion for the arts.
