Mr. Arena prospered as president of leading contractor Arena Concrete for over three decades from 1976 to 2007, and subsequently as president of Arena Sweeping in Norristown beginning in 2010, a premier street sweeping firm serving southeast Pennsylvania. The company’s services include eliminating dirt, dangerous debris and harmful chemicals that can pollute the environment and waterways. In addition, Arena Sweeping also offers high quality brooms for sale in all sweeper makes and models, and provides repairs.
During his service in the United States Air Force, Mr. Arena was awarded a skill level of five and was sent to train in civil engineering. He was relocated to Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, where he worked in a civil engineering group and rebuilt and services airbase runways. When his military serv ice ended, he received contracts from PennDOT, Covina, Conshohocken, and Republic Services and started his own business.
In the coming years, Mr. Arena is hoping for the continued growth and success of Arena Sweeping and is looking forward to a well-deserved retirement.
