Ms. Benitez studied at the Mexico Autonomous Institute of Technology in Mexico City, Mexico before immigrating to the United States in 1966. She subsequently graduated from Los Angeles Pierce College in California with a degree in accounting. She has been the owner and accountant for the Tax Experts since 1970, and her areas of expertise include payroll and bookkeeping.
She came to the field of tax preparation purely by chance. After immigrating to the United States in 1966, she needed a place to work. An uncle offered her a job in an administrative assistant role at his tax preparation business. This is how she discovered a skill for tax preparation and a genuine love for the job, which she credits as integral to her success in the industry.
Ms. Benitez has received honors and recognition from the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and the San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce. She was also previously honored with a Latin Professional Award.
