Hailing from Nigeria, Mr. Salau obtained a Bachelor of Science in 1987 and followed with a Master of Science in 1987 from the University of Lagos. He joined PriceWaterhouse in 1994 and in 2005 became partner-in-charge (PIC) and leader for PwC consulting businesses in West, Central and East Africa spanning 12 countries. From 2011 to 2017, he excelled as partner and advisory leader with Ernst and Young.
In 2017, Mr. Salau founded AFS Consulting, a network of management consulting and technology firms in Africa, America and Europe that specializes in consulting, technology, and outsourcing. Its focus is on business transformation while enhancing business productivity. The firm assists businesses hoping to hone their strategies, transition to a digital platform, or implement processes that are more efficient and effective. That year, Mr. Salau also founded Automata Associates, a premier technology consultancy based in Lagos, providing innovative technology solutions and technology-related business advice to corporate and government institutions. His professional memberships include the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), British Computer Society and Nigeria Computer Society.
Having worked for large firms for more than 20 years, Mr. Salau observed that many new companies and small businesses often lack reliable access to professional support and established his consulting firm to accommodate this need. In the coming years, he plans to expand the scope of his company to assume international status and serve as a mentor to the leaders who will eventually take his place.
