Richard T. Jordan, Environmental Organizations Consultant, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business.
Mr. Jordan attended Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in classical languages and English literature with a minor in theology and philosophy. He continued his studies at the University of Minnesota from 1970 to 1971 and New York University from 1972 to 1974 for post-graduate studies. He remained at NYU and acted as the senior bibliographical searcher in the acquisitions department of the university library from 1972 to 1977. Through the 1980s, he functioned as a proofreading supervisor for three law firms.
Since 1972, Mr. Jordan has excelled as the president of Jordanbooks in New York, New York. He has been the president of Jordanventures since 1977 and a teacher and legal proofreader for Proofreading Dynamics, Inc. in New York, New York since 1987. He has also held the position of the senior international correspondent for Ask Congress Web TV, based in Tampa, Florida, since 2005. He was additionally active as press liaison for the International NGO Forum of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As the project coordinator for the Progress Agency from 1991 to 1993, he was also appointed to the board of directors for Airline Ambassadors International and the UCC Whale Center of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Mr. Jordan is also an environmental organizations consultant and a member of the United Nations Environment Programme Coalition on Digital Environmental Sustainability response team. He was likewise recruited as the director of special projects for the International Council for Caring Communities and serves as a member of many boards, the co-founder of many businesses and a member of multiple organizations. He has authored several books and reports regarding environmental issues, world politics and legal issues, beginning with “How to Transform Yourself Through Legal Proofreading,” published in 1985.
A Spirit of the UN Award honoree in 2018, Mr. Jordan has received multiple accolades throughout his career. In 1966, he was selected for an award for Zeal in the Pursuit of Excellence from the Grand St. Boy Associates of New York, New York. He was an Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award recipient in 2022. He has been further listed in multiple previous editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Entertainment and Who’s Who in the World.
One highlight of Mr. Jordan’s career is his work with HRH Princess Dr. Nisreen El-Hashemite of Iraq to create the International Day for Women and Girls in Science. In the next five years, he will be creating and implementing nutrition and food system solutions that are healthy for the environment. Recently, he has been nominated for four international awards, including the Nobel Peace Prize.
