Mark Nicholas Iorio, Organization Development Specialist, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business.
After graduating form the University at Buffalo in 1984, with a Bachelor of Arts in communication, Mr. Iorio secured a master’s degree in general management from Antioch University in Keene NH. He attended Harvard University from 1984 to 1986, studying general business and administration management with an emphasis on public policy, and the implementation of traditional versus new applied organization theory and practice.
His career began with JC Penney, where he worked in multiple administrative roles in customer service, operations management, sales, and merchandising of products and services. He joined Honeywell Information Systems to build the US Headquarters, Marketing, Operations, Engineering and Field Service functions. He then joined Serono Labs, to build the US Headquarters, Process Development, Research, Manufacturing and Distribution organizations.
Mr. Iorio is the founder of his own independent consulting practice, which he established in 2004. He specializes in quality organization science and art as applied to business practices, and is currently writing a book on emerging organization platforms and leadership. He is a founding member of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, and is an advocate for the sciences.
Mr. Iorio attributes his success to determination, and says his greatest career achievement is the conceptualization and building of a new social and organization foundation based upon personal and professional integrity, worldwide. His foundation is built on embracing diversity and implementation of humane workplaces within a strong framework of leadership and structure. Mark built a Junior Achievement company at WBEN in Buffalo New York in 1975 at age 16, an early experience with business and communications that helped him drive his career forward, leading him to his many new paths.
