Kerry Barton Alberti

Title: Chief Financial Officer
Company: Young Life
Location: Glen Allen, Virginia, United States

Kerry Alberti, Chief Financial Officer at Young Life, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in military service and business management.

Mr. Alberti originally obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics and a Master of Arts in business from the Tippie College of Business at University of Iowa in Iowa City and later continued his education with a Master of Arts in Teaching in theology in 2005 from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. In what he considers a career highlight, he served his country in the United States Air Force from 1968 to 1972 in the Space and Missile Systems Organization, where he attained the rank of captain and earned an Air Force Commendation medal with oak leaf cluster.

Beginning his career in finance as vice president and director of management science with The Chase Manhattan Bank from 1972 to 1979, Mr. Alberti followed as vice president of strategic management with Avis, Inc. from 1979 to 1982. He then provided superior service as senior vice president of the Bankers Trust Company from 1982 to 1988 and subsequently with Marine Midland Bank as managing director of financial services from 1988 to 1993 and senior executive vice president from 1993 to 1997.

With Young Life, an evangelical Christian organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado which focuses on young people in middle school, high school, and college, Mr. Alberti prospered as senior vice president in services from 1995 to 2005 and chief financial officer from 2008 to 2011.  In addition, he excelled as a principal and consultant to Christian organizations such as IVCF and CRISTA Ministries from 2006 to 2008. In 2022 Mr. Alberti was elected as a Director emeritus of the Military Community Youth Ministry. Besides his primary vocational pursuits, he has served as a board director for the Chosen People Ministries, the Tyndale Theological Seminary in the Netherlands and the Military Community Youth Ministry.

In addition to his efforts in the military, Mr. Alberti considers his time at Midland Bank in London to be a watershed moment in his career. The bank was acquired by HSBC and relocated to Hong Kong. He saw a review from HSBC that indicated that the only part of the bank that was really growing was Midland Financial Services, which happened to be the part of the bank that he managed. Now retired from everyday activities with Young Life, Mr. Alberti is proud that eldest grandchild has been accepted to Boston College and will pursue a degree in business.
