Father Richard Frances Champigny, Retired Director of HOPE Prayer Ministry at St. Jude Catholic Church of Boca Raton, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in religious services.

With more than 55 years of experience to his credit, Father Champigny is currently retired, having excelled as the director of HOPE Prayer Ministry at the St. Jude Catholic Church of Boca Raton for 17 years. Prior to this position, he was active as a Carmelite priest for the Transfiguration Parish in Tarrytown, New York for two years. Furthermore, he has contributed to the First Women’s Conference in Steubenville, Ohio in 1999 as well as a Council of Catholic Women’s Conference in Boca Raton, Florida. In addition to these appointments, Father Champigny formerly served as an international coordinating priest for the Worldwide Marriage Encounter Movement, a chaplain for the Boca Raton chapter of the Knights of Columbus and a chartered chaplain for the Boca Raton Assembly.

Before embarking on his professional path, Father Champigny pursued an education at St. Bonaventure University, from which he obtained an undergraduate degree in philosophy with a minor in English. He continued his formal academic efforts with a degree in theology in San Alberto, Rome in 1965 and a master’s degree in modern language in Fordham University in 1969. Drawn to his field since his formative years, he fondly recalls the opportunity to work alongside the Worldwide Marriage Encounter Movement. In the coming years, Father Champigny hops to continue working through retreats, public speaking engagements and other inspirational endeavors while embracing his well-deserved retirement.
