Following 15 years of exemplary service with MBNA Banking, now Bank of America, Ms. Harmon has prospered as product manager from 2019 to 2022 and since the latter year, product manager lead with PNC Bank.
According to Ms. Harmon, her success has been because of her ability to lead people, especially in times when there is an urgency to get projects implemented as quickly and effectively as possible. She is skilled at connecting with different parts of the organization and can encourage technical teams and other employees to more easily make changes. What makes Ms. Harmon very proud is that even though she was not able to finish college, she was still able to reach a high level of success. It has been a challenge for her as a woman in the industry to not have a college degree, and so it is a significant accomplishment for her because she likely worked harder for all her successes than her colleagues with degrees.
Ms. Harmon’s plan in the coming years is to truly become an expert in her role, and then potentially move back into management. She really enjoys leading people but would like to stay on the product or project trajectory in her career. She would, however, love to be able to move into a leadership role again.
