He has been named a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), a Certified Gambling Supervisor, a Certified Mental Health Supervisor and has obtained International Gambling Counselor Certification 2 (ICGC2).
Since 2017, Dr. DeSimone has provided superior service as founder and chief executive officer of Kingsway Recovery is a leading substance abuse treatment center located in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, offering effective outpatient rehabilitation focused on a variety of addictions, including alcohol, drug, gambling, and pornography. The center provides various treatment and therapy services such as Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP). In addition, Dr. DeSimone is also the founder of Renewed Light LLC, a premier mental health outpatient treatment center.
As a recovering addict from alcohol abuse, Dr. DeSimone knew he wanted to help others. Though he was managing mortgage businesses and did well, he decided to leave that line of work because he felt that it was not conducive to what he was doing as a person in recovery. Though he recognized that the help he received from local recovery and treatment centers was extremely valuable, he still felt that his treatment was not addressing the root cause of his addiction and realized that long-term results and effective changes only come from utilizing a holistic approach, meaning treating the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.
Recovering from alcohol abuse has been Dr. DeSimone’s most notable accomplishment. He considers his recovery the biggest thing that ever happened to him in his life. Additionally, his strong faith and his marriage has been a significant part of his life. In the coming years, Dr. DeSimone hopes to establish a detoxification center in his hometown and plans to build a 14,000 square foot building on his uncle’s land where he grew up and where his father owned a business.
