Prior to these appointments, she served as the regional economist for the Salt Lake City Department of Workforce Services in 2012 and both the chief economist and the director of economic research with Prudential Real Estate from 2012 to 2013. She began her career as a field compliance auditor for customer service and technical support in the legal department for TD Ameritrade in Draper, Utah between 2008 and 2012. Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Austria-Miller has also contributed to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah as a mentor, Habitat for Humanity as a team lead  and the Special Olympics as a volunteer.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Austria-Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in economics with a minor in business from the University of Utah in 2007. She subsequently completed a marketing analyst internship at Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in 2011 and graduated from the aforementioned university with a master’s degree in economics with an emphasis in statistics in 2012. Attributing her success to the exceptional leadership provided by her mentors, her exceptional work was honored with an Achievement in Compliance Excellence (ACE) Award from Zions Bancorporation in 2019, an Excellence in Academic Performance Award from the National Society of Leadership and Success in 2011 and numerous recognitions from TD Ameritrade between 2010 and 2011. Proud to help prevent front-line employees discriminate against clients, Ms. Austria-miller hopes to continue advancing into executive-level positions and obtaining additional credentials in her field within the coming years.
