James Robinson, Vice President at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in civil engineering.
Following obtaining a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, Mr. Robinson excelled as a design engineer with ESP Design Services at Fuller Hall and Associates from 2004 to 2006 and with HBE from 2006 to 2014. He then joined Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., a premier engineering and environmental consulting firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, where he prospered as a project manager from 2014 to 2017, senior project and oil and gas manager from 2017 to 2018, principal from 2018 to 2019 and vice president from 2019 to the present. Mr. Robinson’s professional memberships have included the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
Mr. Robison attributes his success to consistency and his strong work ethic. He also maintains a work-life balance where he does the physical and mental work as he is engaging with the professional community in engineering. As a career highlight, he cites his assistance in the construction of a new hospital in West Virginia one mile away from his current office. In addition, Mr. Robinson also helped in improving the infrastructure within the oil and gas community throughout West Virginia. In the coming years, he intends to continue his role in the company and engage with mentors to be able to move up within the leadership ladder. He also aims to grow his farm so he can build something for his retirement years.
